Australia doesn’t have Scion making this quite a find. It’s also absolutely hideous.
Note Toyota wheels.

That also wasn’t sold as a Scion in the US, it’s the second-gen bB. (The first-gen bB was the first-gen xB.)
Instead, our second-gen xB was the Corolla Rumion, or what you called the Rukus.

I hate it
I see, I guess this was a Japanese Scion

Someone else said it’s a bB? What a pathetic brand exercise that was

Also known as the Daihatsu Materia

Toyota bB, “black Box”—hilarious for a car that usually wasn’t sold in black. Also came in Daihatsu and Subaru if you weren’t a fan of the oval “T”.

Toyota bB, 2nd generation
The 1st generation bB was sold in the US under the “Scion xB” name. It was also badged in Japan as the Daihatsu Materia.
The 2nd generation bB/Materia didn’t make it to the US. It was all-new but rode on the same size. Meanwhile, the US got the larger Gen2 Scion xB, a completely different car.
This larger xB was also produced in RHD form and sold in JDM as the Toyota Corolla Rumion, and Toyota Rukus which you probably know.
According to Wikipedia, the bB was discontinued in 2016 and replaced by the Toyota Tank / Daihatsu Thor. JDM only.

I frequent HK which is the next best JDM place after Japan.
Also, Wikipedia.
